PRIMARY CARE DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION

The Primary Care Development Corporation (PCDC) is propelled by a clear and powerful vision: excellent healthcare in every neighborhood. We are driven by our commitment to improve the access to and quality of healthcare for all who need it. Through innovative strategies, we have developed a set of creative and successful programs that improve health center and hospital operations, strengthen patient care, and build, expand or renovate new facilities to serve more patients.

PCDC targets medically underserved communities where our services can create the greatest change.

Through our Capital Access program, PCDC offers low-cost financing and loans to plan, build, expand or renovate primary care centers. We also offer strategic advice to guide each project to successful completion.

Through our Operations Success programs, PCDC teaches leading-edge strategies that transform health center operations and foster highly efficient and effective patient-centered environments.

Through our Emerging Initiatives program, PCDC consults with diverse organizations to improve clinical practice and outcomes, adopts Health Information Technology, and develop emergency response capacity.

We have been invited to present our programs at professional conferences around the country and as far away as London, England. In addition, PCDC has provided consulting services in seven states. Recognition of PCDC includes the 1999 Social Compact Award and, in 2001, an Excellence Award as the nation’s most innovative community development lender.
